In June 2025, the Southside will once again be one of the most popular festivals in Germany! The Southside Festival Line Up 2025 is almost complete. As always, there is a colourful mix of small and large artists from the rock, alternative, independent and electro scenes. Previous headliners of the 27th edition of the Southside Festival are Green Day, SDP, Nina Chuba, Annenmaykantereit, Alligatoah, Biffy Clyro, The Prodigy, Apache 207, Electric Callboy, Sam Fender and Deftones. Jan Böhmermann & das RTO Ehrenfeld, Parcels, Berg, Blond, Kate Nash, Bbiza or Kavka are just a few of the great artists who will also be on stage.

In 1999, the Southside Festival took place for the first time at the former military airfield in Neubiberg near Munich. 15,000 visitors attended the festival in the south until 2002. While the initial focus was entirely on rock music, more and more artists from the electronic dance music scene were added to the line-up. As a result of this change, the number of visitors rose continuously over the years. With an average of 60,000 visitors, Southside is now one of the largest rock and pop festivals in Germany.
